چکیده

Very large networks with thousands of applications and millions of users pose serious problems to the current traditional technology. If synchronised client behaviour exists, then the limitations are even stronger. Cooperative agent systems can be a suitable technology to answer to these requirements if some aspects of the architecture are carefully designed. Particular attention should be given to the trader component and to the dynamic behaviour of the applications in response to client demand. This paper proposes a cooperative mobile agent system with a very dynamic and scalable trading service. The system is designed to allow applications to deploy servers onto the network to respond to demand making them self-configurable. Sets of simulations were performed to study the dynamic behaviour of the overall system, and identify the relevant tuning parameters. Topics. Open, Scalable Agent Architectures for Telecommunications Applications; Middleware for Agent Communication

A Scalable Location Service with Fast Update Responses

This paper addresses the issue of defining a location service suitable for very dynamic and highly populated networks (millions of users), where services might experience highly correlated peaks of traffic or synchronized access to specific servers. Mobile agent technology is flexible enough to solve the major problems, allowing the dynamic deployment of new application servers when needed. But...

Design and evaluation of two scalable protocols for location management of mobile nodes in location based routing protocols in mobile Ad Hoc Networks

Heretofore several position-based routing protocols have been developed for mobile ad hoc networks. Many of these protocols assume that a location service is available which provides location information on the nodes in the network. Our solutions decrease location update without loss of query success rate or throughput and even increase those.Simulation results show that our methods are effectiv...

Design and evaluation of two distributed methods for sensors placement in Wireless Sensor Networks

Adequate coverage is one of the main problems for distributed wireless sensor networks and The effectiveness of that highly depends on the sensor deployment scheme. Given a finite number of sensors, optimizing the sensor deployment will provide sufficient sensor coverage and save power of sensors for movement to target location to adequate coverage. In this paper, we apply fuzzy logic system to...

A flexible DHT-based directory service for information management

Information management is a key feature for the successful deployment of service architectures that involve highly distributed, dynamic, collaborative, and heterogeneous networks. Current solutions fail to meet important requirements of those networks since they have limited support for dynamicity of networks, nodes and information, or flexible information retrieval mechanisms for satisfying us...
